Extreme Makeover!

The senior (years 5 & 6) block is at present undergoing massive changes. The rooms are being made more spacious; there will be covered decks with ranch sliders opening onto them. There will also be new toilet and resource facilities. When completed the rooms will have new carpet and furniture.

It is hoped that these renovations will be completed by the start of term 2.

Meanwhile, the year 5 & 6 classes are spread around the school, but the school work carries on!

Kaitaia Primary offers te reo Maori to every child in the school ranging from a simple introduction to the language, to the ability to converse in Maori. There is a school Marae, which was proudly opened in 2004 after many years of determined fundraising.

Te Whare Marino is available for hire for hui and for sleepovers.

However, this term it is being used as a classroom until the makeover is complete.
